Klus Design Aluminum Profiles for LED Strip Light

Klus is a manufacturer of LED lighting, producing aluminum extrusions and accessories used for creating customized light fixtures with LED tape light. These extrusions add an elegance to any space and allow you to have light precisely where you want it without the need of bulky, obtrusive light fixtures. They also provide protection to the LED strip lights inside, ensuring they are protected from bumps, dust, and water.

Setting Up Channel Guides

Most standard setups include an aluminum channel, lens, end caps, and mounting hardware. Extrusions and all of the necessary installation components are sold individually. The channel and lens can be cut to length using a fine-tooth saw. Any LED strip light can be used in the channels as long as they don't exceed the channel width. Mounting options vary depending on the type of channel and intended application. Some extrusions use surface mount clips. Others may use recessed clips, suspension cables, or mud into a surface for a seamless look.

Please note that these Klus products are not compatible with extrusions and accessories made by other manufacturers.

Types of Aluminum Channels

Klus aluminum extrusions come in a variety of styles to fit any application. Styles are broken down into families of compatible products. These families include:

• PDS4-ALU: Ideal for general purpose applications, recessed and surface mounted.
• PDS4-K: Like the PDS4-ALU, but with an external "lip" for aesthetic preference or to conceal less than perfect routing in wooden surfaces.
• PDS4-MDF: Like PDS4-ALU but made of medium density fiberboard. These channels can be painted to match surfaces, and are ideal for general purpose applications, recessed and surface mounted.
• STOS-ALU: Typically used in surface mount applications. Has a smooth, rounded appearance, especially when used with a K12 style lens.
• STOS-MDF: Like STOS-ALU but made of medium density fiberboard and typically used in surface mount applications. The channels can be painted to match surfaces and has a smooth, rounded appearance, especially when used with a K12 style lens.
• HR-LINE: The ideal choice for mounting into pavement, sidewalks, bike lanes, parking lots, and more.
• 45-ALU: Mounts at a 45-degree angle and it typically used in surface mount applications.
• 45-MDF: Like 45 - ALU but made of medium density fiberboard and can be painted to match surfaces. Typically used in surface mount applications, these channels mount at a 45-degree angle.
• MICRO-ALU: A shallow version of the PDS4-ALU without side grooves. These are typically inlayed into the underside of steps, banisters, and cabinets.
• MICRO-K: A shallow version of the PDS4-K without side grooves and typically inlayed into the underside of steps, banisters, and cabinets.
• PAC-ALU: Unique triangular shape for surface mounting in corners.
• PAC-MDF: Like PAC-ALU but made of medium density fiberboard and features a unique triangular shape for surface mounting in corners. The channels can easily be painted to match surfaces.
• PDS-O: Sleek, circular design for building individual light fixtures including table lamps, suspended wall lamps, and floor lamps.
• EX-ALU: Use with glass panels to create edge-lit signs and design features.
• TAMI: A shallow, low-profile channel designed for surface mounting in cabinets, display cases, stairs, and other areas where interior LED lights are desired.
• REGULOR ZWK: Surface mount aluminum channel an aluminum insert that can be used to adjust the beam angle of the LED strip 30, 60, or 90-degrees. Without the insert, the beam angle is 10-degrees.
• LARKO: Designed for recessed mounting in walls or ceilings using spring clips.

Where to Use Klus Aluminum Extrusions

The LED lighting created using aluminum extrusions can be used for a wide range of applications, from display lighting in retail stores to vanity lighting in your bathroom. They can fit seamlessly into grooves in cabinets, stairs, ceilings, closets, floors, and walls. They can even be installed outdoors in the ground to light paths, walkways, and stairways.
