Directly replacing 1 to 6-lamp fluorescent fixtures, LED strip light fixtures use integrated LEDs. LED strip light fixtures with integrated LEDs come with preset Lumen and Kelvin outputs. Though the entire fixture must be replaced once the LEDs reach the end of their impressive lifespan, there are no lamps to replace which significantly reduces maintenance costs. Use dimmable fixtures in areas where you need adjustable brightness. For additional energy savings, look for fixtures that are DLC and DLC Premium certified. Meeting strict energy standards, these fixtures may qualify for additional state and local rebates.
Designed for hardwire installation, 8-foot LED strip light fixtures can be suspended or surface mounted individually over work areas or in continuous rows to cover longer distances. Use these 8-foot lights in workshops, hangers, warehouses, and other large spaces. Fixtures rated for dry locations should only be used in areas where there is no water or moisture. For areas where moisture may be present, use LED strip light fixtures rated for damp locations. If your application needs more customization and control of the light output, try LED ready strip light fixtures instead and change out the Kelvin and Lumen outputs as the needs of your space change.
